Louis Theroux: Dark States – Trafficking Sex (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm)
In the Dark States series, Louis Theroux visits three American cities and looks at the different crises that are ongoing in each of these locations. This week, he looks at sex trafficking in the United States fourth biggest city Houston, Texas. Houston is widely considered to be the number one hub for human trafficking in the United States, so Louis heads there to spend some time with women working in the city’s illegal sex industry.
Horizon: Cyber Attack – The Day the NHS Stopped (RTÉ 2, 7.30pm)
A documentary looking at the incident which occurred in 2017 when the UK’s National Health Service was hit by a devastating cyber attack. Appointment systems, pathology labs, x-rays and even CT scanners were infected, which did not only put data in danger, but also the lives of patients. Every screen suddenly featured a simple, but strangely polite message which read “Ooops, your files have been encrypted!” The hackers responsible held the data at ransom, and threatened to double the price if nothing was paid within a week. And if it wasn’t paid after that? Well, they said that they would destroy the all of the data – forever.
At Your Service (RTÉ One, 8.30pm)
The Brennans head off once again to work their magic on somebody else’s property. Tonight, they’ll go assist the proprietors of a Co. Kerry mobile home park who are looking to add a bit more excitement to their business by adding a farm and a café to their establishment. The only problem is, they have zero experience with catering or food.
Everybody’s talking about… Jack and Tim from last night’s Britain’s Got Talent
It’s not easy to get a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell of all people, but a father and son singer song-writer duo managed it last night. 12-year-old Jack and his dad Tim had won the judges over before they even began their performance. However, their duet still managed to blow the judges and audience away.
